Q. What areas in the golf game do amateurs differ from professionals the most?
A. Professional golfers practice almost every day for hours and we would suggest first and foremost, good golfing basics and fundamentals like grip, stance, posture and set-up are the biggest differences, then attention to detail on the course, pre-shot routines, shot-making decisions, rules knowledge and practice methodology are probably some of the most common differences - but there are many others too! Browse through this web site for more information or email us with your questions directly with your golfing queries and we will reply to you as soon as possible.
Q. How many lessons should a golfer have in a year?
A. It really depends on your playing level and interest to improve your game. For a minimum, once or twice a month for beginners and advanced players - for those who want to improve their game significantly or those starting out and need to get a handle on the sport as quickly as possible for a couple of months so you can access where you are at with you game. After that, a golf lesson every three or six months just to keep an eye on any bad habits that may emerge will do. For casual, fun-only, non-competitive players, then one or two golf lessons two a year should do so you can have more fun on the course and get the ball into the hole sooner rather than later!
Q. I have had quite a few golf lessons from the local professional at my golf club over the past few years and have not improved my handicap at all - how can you help and what do you do differently?
A. Well this really depends on whether you are following the professional's instructions completely, somewhat or not at all. If it's completely, then we will see where you are with your game by taking a driving range and playing lesson and then we can evaluate your game. At that stage, we can offer an opinion as to what your options are, direction to take and specific areas to work on. Golf Professionals differ greatly - select yours with care.
Q. I don't have any clubs. Can I still take a lesson at the driving range or golf course?
A. Yes, for sure. We will give you golf clubs to use free of charge for the duration of the lesson.
Q. I would like to attend one of the intensive 4 or 7 day golf schools in Spain, how much does it cost and do I need an official handicap certificate?
A. The charges are from €500 to €1200 per person depending on several criteria such as dates, booking time, number of attendees, location and optional add-ons. No, you do not require an official handicap certificate. However we will send you a questionnaire so we can assess as best as possible your playing ability. If you have never played golf before and are interested in our beginners camp courses, then handicaps are not applicable. Some courses are however entry restricted for elite golfers.
Q. What qualifications do the golf instructors have?
A. We have qualified and certified PGA Coaches, Members, Instructors, Club-Fitters and Swing Surgeon qualified Instructors and expert Golf Coaches and playing professional tour members as well as experienced European Tour and Challenge Tour Caddies.
